RAW Sprouted Energy Bar!




So my son has a field day today, and they will be out playing in the sun n water !! Splashing on each other !!! And transforming the really hot weather we've been having, into a  monsoon showered blissful morning !!! having a blast in the really hot weather reminds me of how sweaty n thirsty they would get !!

So of course water is the main source of energy they might need.

But sprouts can really rejuvenate us from the inside out: easy to digest when our digestive system might be sluggish, and a complete meal !


Some Benefits of Sprouting that make me LOVE THEM and ahem.. not COOK THEM 😄:
1: Soaking destroys phytates & other anti-nutrients opening up assimilation of all nutrition that our seed or nut packs!
2: Sprouting increases enzyme levels within the seed or nut by 100%, increasing absorption of vitamins n minerals from even OTHER foods we eat along with the sprouts!!
3: Sprouting increases the concentration of certain vitamins for example vitamin B1 increases by 285% in moong beans when sprouted, vitamin b2 by 515% and B3 (niacin) by 356% 😍😍😍

SPROUTED ENERGY BAR !

INGREDIENTS
============

DRY:
  • Organic Einkorn wheat berries (Earth Fare or Whole foods Bulk section) - 1/4 cup
  • Organic Quinoa  -1/4 cup
  • Organic Raw almonds - 1/4 cup
  • Organic Flaxseed
  • Organic Hempseed
  • Organic Medjool dates
  • Shredded Dry coconut - 2 tsp
  • Cardamom - 3 pods hulled / Organic Vanilla Bean Paste.
WET:
  • Soaking water
  • Strainer to sprout :)

INSTRUCTIONS
=============
1. Wash, Soak n sprout organic Einkorn wheat berries and quinoa equal quantities. 
    Dry in strainer or spread out on a big plate overnight. - 1/2 cup

2. Wash, Soak almonds overnight, strain and dry overnight in strainer - 1/4 cup

3. In coffee grinder, grind separately:

  • Sprouted grains into fine powder 

  • Cardamom -3 pods or use vanilla bean paste to taste. 

  • 3 medjool dates - pitted.

  • 3 tsp hemp-seed

  • 1/4 cup flax-seed. 
  • 1/4 cup soaked n dry almonds
  •  2 tsp shredded dry coconut.

4. Lubricate hands with sufficient EVOO*, and bring the mixture together into an elasticky 
    dough. 

5. Set aside for 1/2 hour. U will see that mixture tightens and is not oily or sticky  to touch !

6. Then roll into a tube like long shape. Flatten on 1 side using palm pressure. And at both ends of tube. 

7. Cut into 3 equal parts, wrap in parchment paper n serve to ur cute lil tot!!

8. Store in Refrigerator, it will spoil if kept outside.




*EVOO: Extra Virgin Olive Oil


  





This is probably the Yummiest BAR I've tasted hands down !.... Completely detaching with who made it etc. etc......
